SACI Inorganic Chemistry Conference
28 June-2 July 2015
At the biennial SACI Inorganic Conference, this year held in Grahamstown, Tim Egan presented a talk on our current findings as well as future research. John Woodland and Nicola Dare presented flash talks about their current research as well. They both spoke with confidence, enthusiasm and were delightful to watch. Roxanne Openshaw and Stefan Benjamin also presented posters. A poster prize was awarded to Nicola Dare at the gala dinner where professors, colleagues and students enjoyed a wonderful meal, good wine and music. In addition to attending the conference lectures and events, the group went on a safari drive at the Kwantu Game Lodge which was quite an experience for some while others enjoyed the sunset. There was much laughter and chatter while driving and observing the many animals which was wonderful. A late dinner was then enjoyed before heading back to Grahamstown. To end off the trip, the group stayed in Port Elizabeth for a night before heading back to Cape Town. The group went out for dinner and enjoyed the lights of Port Elizabeth. For more information, you can visit the conference website here.
